REGENCY TOWNHOUSE

The design brief for this substantial Grade 2 listed Regency townhouse was to create a refined family home that reflected the period nature and history of the building, while bringing it up to date with an elegant contemporary overlay in style. Crucially, the space needed to be pet-friendly, practical and easy to maintain alongside our clients busy lifestyles. With this in mind, we set about putting together a scheme that felt calm, considerate and grounded; an understated luxurious retreat for our clients and their family to escape to.

This property required a complete renovation and turnkey design service across the main house and basement. Navigating which elements of the house to protect during this process was a conscientious one, for which we sought out archival photography. Using these old photos of the house, we were able to decipher which original features had been lost over the years, and which were still authentic and in need of preservation; such as the tiled flooring in the hallway (an exciting discovery as they had been carpeted over by the previous owner).
